Any Firefox above 18.0.x is still a beta.

I think they want to know about "full and complete" releases.

I chose to install avast! Ad Blocker but nothing happened then.

I cannot find any file related to it so I cannot even install it manually.

With all due respect, get rid of it. AdBlock+ is already available with both Firefox and Chrome through their respective add-ons. This is IMHO a total waste of time and effort and has absolutely nothing to do with security.

i didn't see avast's adblock in opera 12.13 maybe because it's in extensions ?

Ad Block not in the Manage Add-ons.

It blocks ads but the browser icon disappeared after restarting Chrome. It's still enabled.

Works great on for me on Chrome 25.0.1364.97 m. However, I have noticed that it doesn't hide the placeholder for ads, which is something that AdBlock Plus does.

Since the only thing clicking the icon does is open settings, I don't think it's supposed to be there all the time.

Internet Explorer 8 (8.0.6001.18702). Error window when clicking on hand-shaped "AD" icon in status bar (see attached). Also does not function or block any ads

Example: When visiting YouTube, annoying ads are still visible and are not blocked. This is also true for all other sites which have ads.

Question: Is the avast! Ad Blocker only compatible with Internet Explorer 9 and 10 and not with Internet Explorer 8?

avast ad blocker is a fork AD-BLOCK-PLUS addon ?

http://adblockplus.org/en/

photo

ad blocker works with IE 10, but browser seems somewhat slow with ad blocker enabled. Can't say for sure if it works with Opera 12.15 (64bit).

Worked well in FF 20.0, but suddenly stopped working (no updates or anything were done) and isn't seen in FF addons list, although Avast preferences' window says it's installed in FF. Upgraded FF to 21 and updated Avast just now - still no ad blocking.
